La Quinta Golf and Country
club is just 15 minutes from San
Pedro and close to Los Arqueros
golf club on the Ronda road,
situated in Spain on the Costa
del Sol close the famous golf
holiday resort of Marbella.
The course consists of 27
holes which demand the players
maximum concentration. Its
extraordinary beautiful courses
offer lovely views of the
mountains and the sea, and pose
an out of the ordinary challenge
even to the best players; with
its winding and narrows holes,
and its combination of wide and
narrow fairways, together with
its continuous ups and downs
gives it a special character.
Only the best professional
players have been able to beat
it although not to dominate it:
Severiano Ballesteros, Chema
Olazábal and Manuel Piñero as a
plain example. It is in fact
very demanding due to the design
of the fairways and the
excellent quality of the greens.
To be successful you need to be
accurate to avoid the trees,
water hazards, and shallow sand
traps located along the
fairways. Buggy recommended as
it is very hilly.
Commands excellent panoramic
views of the mountains and the
Marbella coastline.
